Award Winning Cotswold Chef Launches Gourmet Ready Meal Range
Chef Francis Green, known as ‘The Cotswold Traiteur’, is launching a range of exquisite ready meals for the independent retail sector.
The new range consists of 10 delicious, high quality take-home meals made using fresh, locally sourced ingredients.
With more than 20 years experience as a chef, Francis is now taking the leap from his successful food retail business in Moreton in Marsh, Gloucestershire, to producing his dishes for the wider independent retail market in response to the high demand from trade buyers and customers.
Francis was also spurred on to take this step after he won a prestigious Diamond Award from food group HEART of ENGLAND fine foods, winning the ‘Prepared Foods’ category in 2011.
The Cotswold Traiteur take-home range will include regional French classics such as Provencal Daube of Beef, Normandy Pork Casserole and Gascon Duck Leg Cassoulet as well as a Moroccan Inspired Vegetable Tagine and four authentic curries.
The range will be unveiled at Food and Drink Expo featuring Farm Shop and Deli at the NEC Birmingham from 25-27 March. This will be the UK’s largest sector trade show in 2012. Visit The Cotswold Traiteur on stand J120h, part of the HEART of ENGLAND fine foods stand.
“The interest generated from winning the Diamond Award last year encouraged me to expand the business into wholesale production in order to supply more local independent business,” said Francis.
“I offer a unique, upmarket and a gourmet twist on the mass-produced ready meals that are already in the market place. I use only the freshest local produce and finest ingredients to create simple yet flavoursome seasonal dishes, perfect for those who have busy lifestyles but do not want to compromise on the quality of their food.”
