Level 2 Award in Safe Moving and Handling - July

Overview
The Level 2 Award in Safe Moving and Handling is intended as an introduction to moving and handling activities for those starting work, returning to work or who need specific training in manual handling, as well as being a suitable qualification for refresher training.

Course content
This qualification is made up of one mandatory unit – Manual Handling Safely at Work.

The training programme covers the following topics
• Understand the reasons for safe manual handling
• Understand how manual handling risk assessments contribute to improving health and safety
• Understand the principles, types of equipment and testing requirements associated with manual handling safety
• Be able to apply safe manual handling principles

Duration
One day programme
The qualification is assessed through a practical examination through the duration of the course by the tutor, followed by a 15 multiple- choice question examination

Cost
£60 per person inclusive of workbook, course materials, registration and certification.
