Four Shires Festival

What do Ludlow Castle and Whitbourne Hall have in common?
Beautiful surroundings for a food festival!
The second Four Shires Festival on Sunday 19 August is a celebration of the best of our local ‘Shires’ food, arts and crafts, in a sublime setting.
Local Herefordshire champion, John Challis star of, 'Only Fools and Horses', leads the programme, and will be signing copies of his book, 'Being Boycie'. Award-winning Worcestershire vineyard, Rosebank, offers 2 exclusive tastings in Whitbourne Hall's historic library. The 'Introduction to English Wine' includes tastings of Rosebank's complete range and is a bargain at £5. This year's festival has so much going on for all ages: live music, cookery demonstrations by Carolyn Chesshire from Mortimer Country Food Festival, Martin Yartin of 'Taste for Bologna', Rayeesa Ashgar-Sandys of Rayeesa's Indian Kitchen and Pam Davenport of Chilli Pepper Plantation.
Come and try your hand at archery, watch a wood-sculptor in action, perhaps a Newfoundland dog rescue, or just have a bounce on the bouncy castle! Then there are the exhibitors-so much to sample for the foodies-3 cider makers, our own Celtic Marches, and Foxgloves Liqueurs, Cake Aspirations-HEFF Diamond Award winner, smoked salmon from Ludlow Smokehouse, an edible display by Cottage Herbery and many, many more. Craft and arts lovers can admire an array of offerings including silk straw glassware, stained glass suncatchers and panels, textile art, acrylics, watercolours, bespoke jewellery. Entry is only £2 per person, and includes access to the grounds and the hall. Parking is free.
There is still limited exhibitor space available. Email marketing@whitbournehall.com for more details or visit www.whitbournehall.com.
