Emergency First Aid at Work

Shropshire Training Ltd are offereing a comprehensive programme of training courses relevant to food and drink producers to be held at Shropshire Food Enterprise Centre.


Who should attend?

Staff who work in lower hazard environments, have fewer staff or where HSE guidelines indicate staff should be trained and hold a certificate in emergency first aid at work.

Course content

The course is informal and will cover topics including:

• Health and safety (first aid) regulation

• Managing an incident

• The priorities of first aid

• Treatment of an unconscious casualty

• Unconsciousness

• Resuscitation

• Shock

• Bleeding

• Common workplace injuries

Duration

The course is approximately 6 hours long and conducted during one day. Continuous assessment by trainer

Qualification

This qualification is assessed through practical and oral questioning through the duration of the course by the tutor. Learners must practically demonstrate the application of the correct techniques in all the First Aid areas indicated within the learning outcomes of the unit.

Cost

£60.00 per person inclusive of workbook, course materials, registration and certification
