Flavours of Herefordshire Festival

The newly named Flavours of Herefordshire Festival will be held in Hereford City Centre on Saturday 27 and Sunday 28 October, which is the last weekend of the school half term and the weekend before Halloween.
Free to visitors, the festival will be based throughout the City with its main centre focused on the Cathedral and its Close and High Town with special family events on Castle Green on the Saturday afternoon and evening.
Throughout the summer Visit Herefordshire will be running a series of local community competitions organised throughout the County against a basic set of rules with the various local winners coming together to be judged against one another at the Festival to select an overall winner for each class.

Open for children aged 3 - 5 years, 6 - 7 years and 8 – 11 years.
• Ripe & Fruity – A perfect Herefordshire fruit pie.
• Truly Scrumptious - A home-made ‘foodie’ gift for Christmas preserved in glass
The aim of this fun competition is to find the best of Herefordshire’s cooks who can bring the taste of the county to the table. Any resident of Herefordshire can enter.

There is no entry fee but you must register by Sunday 30 June 2012. The Closing date for competitions is Friday 28 September 2012.
