Free Farm Visit Workshop Friendly Farmer Project - Warwickshire

Mon, 28 May 2012

For Farmers within the Central Warwickshire LEADER Area who want to engage with their community or have the local community visit their farm

As part of the Friendly Farmer Project to help establish the relationships between farmers and their local communities, Warwickshire Rural Hub would like to invite farmers from Warwickshire to a range of FREE Farmer Visit workshops. These workshops will allow the farmers to visit other farms which are already successfully engaging with their local community and give the visiting farmers the opportunity and ideas to develop links with their own local communities.

Feldon Forest Farm, 6.30pm - 8.30pm

Frankton, Rugby, Warwickshire, CV23 9PD

Feldon Forest Farm is a mixed organic farm which specialises in rare breed livestock. On the farm there are also various orchards, vegetable plots, wildflower meadows, woodland and riverbank areas.

George and Gill Browning who farm the land have experience in guiding local community groups and the wider public around the farm. This workshop will explore the opportunities and benefits for community involvement with on farm projects which service and support the farming activities.

After the workshops there will be light refreshments.

Please ensure you wear suitable clothing and footwear as the workshop will involve walking through fields and on uneven surfaces.

To book you place to attend please contact Jenny Gunnell on 02476 858244 or jennyg@rase.org.uk
