Charity Fund Raising Event

Ruby Edwards, of HEFF member Harvey’s Meats Limited in Stourport on Severn, Worcestershire (www.harveysmeatslimited.co.uk), has set-up www.funnyblood.co.uk to raise awareness of a rare blood disorder which affects her son. Ruby is hosting a charity event to raise funds for research into the condition www.plateletgap.org.uk).

The venue for the event is Clives Fruit Farm, near Upton on Severn in Worcester, is also a HEFF member : www.clivesfruitfarm.co.uk.

The annual BBQ takes place on Saturday 5 May. This is both a bank holiday and festival weekend in Upton so there will be lots to do and see! (www.uptonfolk.org). Harvey’s Meats will host a free BBQ with locally made sausages and burgers and there will be activities for the kids and adults alike, including a play area, face-painting, feeding the pigs and chickens, pick your own fruit and eggs, cider tasting etc

We will also host a raffle, which was amazing last time with prizes ranging from a day at the races (www.funcup.co.uk) to locally made pressé (www.bredonhillfoods.co.uk), tooth whitening to clay pigeon shooting lessons! Well worth a ticket or two!! If you know of anyone who can provide a prize, Ruby would be delighted to accept it!
