The Appleby Family are Celebrating 60 years of Cheesemaking
2012 marks Appleby's Jubilee Year – in 1952 Lance and Lucy Appleby, MBE founded Appleby's Cheese in the cart horse shed next to Lucy's kitchen.
Lucy made her first cheese in October 1952. In March this year to begin their celebrations, Appleby’s made a super large Cheshire, weighing in at 90lb. Keep a look out for their plans for this cheese...
