Gaileys Fabulous Food and Gift Fair

After last year’s successful event, Gailey Fruit Farm, near Penkridge will be hosting another Fabulous Food & Gift Fair, on Saturday 23 and Sunday 24 June. The Fair will take place between 10am and 4pm on both days, and admission to the event is free of charge!
This year’s event is set to be even bigger and better than last year, as there will not only be a marquee of local producers selling fabulous food and drink, but also an additional marquee full of Gifts! There will also be plenty of activities for the children, a barbecue and delicious cream teas – all the ingredients for a fantastic family day out!
The new Gift Marquee will have a wide range of stalls selling everything from gifts, cards and jewellery to cushion covers, aprons and pottery.
In the Food Marquee, local produce will be on sale with the chance to sample local delicacies from businesses such as Snoggable Garlic; the Great Little Honey Company; Mantinga Breads; Cheshire Cheese Company; Just Oil, and Sweet Retreat to name but a few! The fruit fields will also be open for those of you who want to ‘pick your own’, or if you don’t have time then the Farm Shop will have freshly picked strawberries on sale.
If that’s not enough to satisfy your appetite there will be a wide variety of refreshments available including a barbecue with local sausages, bacon and burgers, as well as traditional cream teas with home-made scones and jam and freshly picked strawberries.
There will be many other attractions including Traction Engine Rides, a Miniature Railway, Hawkins Falconry and an ‘Animal Zone’ where visitors can meet various animals including lizards, snakes, a racoon and even a honey bear. The Countryside Trust will also be running quizzes and competitions for the children, as well as activities such as face painting, sand art and glitter tattoos! And on the Sunday the MG owners club will also be there.
