Lack of Business Awareness Over Pest Control can Leave Companies Exposed Warns Expert
A lack of awareness about the menace of vermin and legislation surrounding pest control can cause headaches for companies, informs a pest control expert.
Dave Nash, managing director of Pestbusters, based in Kings Norton, Birmingham, told company bosses in the food industry that they should ensure they are up to date with developments to prevent any unwanted visitors.
Mr Nash, whose company has over 20 years’ experience in vermin control said: “In these tough times proactive pest control measures can sometimes be overlooked or ‘put on the backburner’. People are working harder than ever to grow and expand their businesses. However, good pest control companies are there to help businesses of all sizes realize the steps they have to take.”
He added that many companies, as they expand, can sometimes overlook the regulations they have to comply with.
He said: “As companies grow there are lots of pressures and demands from many different areas and whether it is cakes, chocolate, bread or whatever, it is advisable to adhere to BRC food standards.”
