As the Regional Food Group for the West Midlands we work with a wide variety of food and drink businesses in the industry. As well as food producers we welcome membership from companies selling, serving and promoting food and drink and companies providing a service to other member businesses.
Since our inception in 1998 we have been nurturing the quiet revolution of regional food. Working on all levels we create trade opportunities through a growing range of innovative initiatives that have earned us the reputation of the lead organisation for regional food and drink.
Our multifarious network of contacts with producers and purchasers enables us to provide an unparalleled service to meet the needs from both sides. To our members we offer assistance that incorporates better business solutions, marketing and promotion support and a busy programme of trade opportunities into tailored packages for a variety of membership categories to suit the size and type of all food and drink businesses.
HEART of ENGLAND fine foods membership brings with it regional and national recognition. It indicates a company is producing food and drink to the highest standards in terms of taste, quality and innovation.
Based in Shropshire at the Shropshire Food Enterprise Centre, HEFF is a not for profit company limited by share, with a board of Directors comprising producer representatives from each of the six counties (Staffordshire, Shropshire, Worcestershire, Warwickshire, Herefordshire, Birmingham and the Black Country) as well as representatives from the public sector who act as advisors to the board. Our core fund provider is the Regional Development Agency, Advantage West Midlands (AWM).
Karen Davies, HEFF’s Chief Executive, has been in post since the group’s inception and leads a team of twenty full and part time members of staff covering group administration, business and trade development and consumer awareness programmes. In 2006 HEFF became managers of the West Midlands Food Partnership (WMFP), the public face of the Food and Drink Cluster, which delivers a range of services to the private sector.
Through the WMFP a number of key organisations work to increase synergies and efficiencies to create greater support mechanisms within the food and drink industry
