Alternative Meats for Valentine's Day
Look after your loved one's heart this Valentine's Day!

Visitors to the TASTE kitchen enjoyed a lively tutored cookery demonstration with Jeanette Edgar of Alternative Meats and Ed Warren, HEFF’s development chef.
They sampled and learned about the health benefits of ostrich meat, and other exotic meats such as Antelope and Zebra.
The participants were also able to taste the new British grass fed Wagyu beef, known as Kobe beef to most of us, this heavily marbled meat is famously the most expensive beef in the world but is considered to be the most tender, most succulent and tastiest meat in the world!

The evening finished with a warming supper and the opportunity to take home some deliciously different recipes for Valentine’s Day in Jeannette Edgar's Exotic Meat Cook Book.
What they thought about the Alternative Meats for Valentine's Evening:
Robin and I both enjoyed the evening last night. The organisation, welcome and presentation of food was highly professional and everyone's skills were much appreciated. It certainly was an evening to remember and hugely successful. I was full of admiration for the beef farmer and his wife. Not an easy task in these straightened times. We were amazed at all the different tastes and textures of the meats and it was a lovely and delicious experience.
Thank you again and good luck with the TASTE kitchen in 2011. What a wonderful enterprise.
