Masterchef - The Professionals
John Barton, Head Chef at The Coach and Horses in Shrewsbury, reached the quarter finals in the current series of Masterchef - The Professionals. An enthusiastic audience joined him in the TASTE kitchen on Wednesday 16 March to hear about his television experience and the thrill and pressure of cooking for Michel Roux Jr.
John re-created the 3 dishes that received so much praise from the judges, and attendees were able to sample the sardine starter and after watching the dishes being cooked, everyone sat down to enjoy the rump of lamb main course and a delicious bitter chocolate tart dessert . Masterchef judges said “It was the best pastry today”, “Top notch” was Michel’s final comment and Greg said “John’s was the most attractive plate”
