Malvern Brewery Receives Hygiene and Food Safety Certification

Friday Beer, Malvern’s newest local ale brewery, has received a five star Hygiene and Food Safety rating from HEART of ENGLAND fine foods. The certificate means that customers can have confidence that the beer is sourced, produced and handled to the highest standards of hygiene and safety.

Regional Food & Drink Shines At Diamond Awards

The best of food and drink from the heart of England region was showcased once more at the annual HEART of ENGLAND fine foods (HEFF) Diamond Awards.

The glittering Diamond Awards Gala Dinner was held on Saturday (18) at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole. It was the sixth annual Diamond Awards from HEFF, the food group for the heart of England, which celebrates the best of local food and drink from across Shropshire, Staffordshire, Cheshire, Herefordshire, Worcestershire, Warwickshire, Oxfordshire and Birmingham and Black Country. This year also marked the 15th anniversary of HEART of ENGLAND fine foods.

Selfridges is bolstering the local artisan food and drink sector by running ‘Local Food Heroes’ sampling promotions in stores with a view to permanently listing a number of successful products.
